hauppauge 1800 QAM - start scan higher
ok , well i have found that manually adding a channel like
TBSDT1 chan75 works .. so not i'm scanning all my qam channels .. their are NO channels below 70 on qam in my area .. is it possible to tell sage to start scanning at chan 70 .. cauz waiting the 30 mins for it to time out on 0-69 is a MAJOR pain. also i noticed that the scan doesn't pick up everything ..i can manually enter the channel and it picks it up , but the scan missed it. |

If it is only scanning up to 69, are you selecting Cable or Antenna when configuring the tuner in SageTV? And, what version of SageTV are you using?

I think the OP wants to somehow SKIP 2-69 during a scan because they are currently unused (but time consuming to scan).

I'm wondering... does the HVR-1x00 have an associated .frq file in the SageTV/SageTV directory? If so, and you commented-out or erased the unused entries in the .frq file (after backing up the original) if SageTV would scan only what was available in the reference.
The band usage for ATSC or QAM is not contiguous, so the reference frequencies have to be stored *somewhere*. Though they could be stored somewhere else in Sage. |
