Setting for 'Record Once Per Day'?

Moving from Vista MCE to SageTV.

VMC has a recording setting for a series called 'Once per Day'. When set, no matter how many shows that match the series setting are available it will only record one (once) per day.

This is a very useful recording series setting.

Is there any equivalent in SageTV?

There is something close. You can set a series setting to only record during a certain time. So a series is only allowed to record between 5-6pm every day. Not quite as flexible, but it might work for you.

the problem with that is that when you configure a series to set right now it doesnt provide you any way of knowing on which channels and at what time slots the show is available... so you would have to know that ahead of time which is extremely difficult.
