Favorite airs 3 times a day-- only want it to record once...
This happens to me a lot. I follow a lot of the "talking heads" shows like Crossfire, Hardball with Chris Matthews, The O'Reilly Factor, etc. The problem is, some of these shows come on 3 times a day, and because they only give a ShowID and no episode information, Sage records them all, wasting tons of hard disk space, and wasting my time through having to manually delete these files later.
I'll admit that I'm relatively new to SageTV (only been using it about 2 months) and I'm sure there's something I'm overlooking here, but short of scheduling a manual record for these programs at the ONE time I want to record them, is there any way to modify, for example, my O'Reilly Factor favorite to only record at 7pm on weekdays? |

Some of the custom STVs have enabled the TimeSlot feature for favorites (mlbdude2 & MalDude do; not sure about others). You could use one of those STVs to set the favorite to record only if it falls within the specified 1 hour time slot. You can then continue using that STV or switch to another -- the Favorite will keep the time slot setting.
