STV Records the Same Show, One Digital, One Analog

I've had this problem for a while, and I can't figure out a good way to fix it. Last night, STV was recording the same news program at the same time on two different tuners. The two channels were the same 'station', but the call letters were different, XXXX vs XXXXDT.

Is there something I can do to correct this? I'd prefer not to change the favorite options to only use one of the channels. Thanks.

News programs typically have show IDs that start with SH and are the same for all episodes (rather than EP-type IDs that are unique to each episode). What that means is that Sage has no way of knowing for sure whether the two airings are the same or not, so since they both match the Favorite criteria, it records them both.

There's a setting in Detailed Settings > Customize called "Detect repeat airings with non-unique IDs" (see p. 194 of the manual) that enables Sage to try to guess whether the two airings are in fact the same based on other info (description and such). You could try turning that on, but since news broadcasts all tend to have the same description, you might then end up missing episodes that are actually different.
