Determining which tuner records which show

I have two servers, one as an encoder with two tuners recording OTA and a primary box with an HDPVR on Sat. I have the three tuners setup on the primary. The guide that shows up on the primary is screwy.
The sat and ota share some of the same channels (locals).
For example OTA has 8-1, and Sat has 8, both the same KFMBDT, but the guide shows kfmbdt as channel 7. (which is actually the real physical channel number of the OTA since they moved DT off UHF earlier this year to VHF. If I go into the channel guides of the three different tuners, not one is listed as channel 7, only 8-1 or 8. I whacked them all, restarted the service and set them up again. Same thing. Is there a way to whack them and start from scratch again? It seems this stuff is cached somewhere.
Second question, How do I tell which tuner is set to record a show?

Sage only lists a given callsign once, so even though you have KFMBDT setup on two different tuners, since the callsign is the same it only shows up once in the guide.

You don't, you tell Sage what show you want to watch, and it figures out how to tune it with the available tuners. You can set tuner merits so Sage will use certain tuners first, but you can't say "record this on x tuner".

I guess there isn't a way to fool it into showing a channel twice? The reason I ask is channel 8 switched to VHF a few months ago and really had to lower their signal strengh as it was interferring with an LA station's SD signal. That will all be fixed next Feb (supposedly) when they all move their DT to VHF. But what I have found is OTA from Channel 8 isn't very good during the hours of sunlight, but is just fine after dark. So I would like to record 8 from OTA at night as the picture quality is so much better than Directv's picture and only us DTV for daytime records.
