EPG updating - Internet charge by the minute

Hi Everyone,

I have been using Sage for a couple of years now, but now I have a huge problem.

I work onboard a cruise ship, and they charge for the internet access by the minute... yes... you read it right about 20c per MINUTE.

So waiting for an EPG to happen would cost me about 150 bucks a day. I have tried the webserver app without any success.

Can't we just have an icon or option to update instantly ???
Please please oh please !

The webserver always works for me. What are your issues with it?

When I click on the "force EPG update", it takes a couple of seconds and then tells me the next update will happen in 24 hrs...

It doesnt give me any errors, but it doesn't even seem to try requesting this information...

I cant believe that sage having so many cool features cannot have an easy way to do this without having to add/remove channels from the lineup or installing other plugins.

You could also look into an xmltv provider as well. I would send your query to the support email address.

You could be running into this problem where the Guide won't update manually if it hasn't been updated in 24 hours. Good news is that it should be included in the next update.
