Need to separate program guides

Problem:
I have two tuners, two DirecTV boxes and only one program guide. I would like to have two (of the same program guide) so that I can assign a single tuner to each guide because I want either tuner to only be able to connect record from certain channels. Is there a how-to for this scenario?

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to go through the channel setup for each tuner and enable specific channels on each tuner. You just have to make sure not to select "use existing channel lineup" when you do the second tuner.

You'll still have one, coherent guide displayed to you, but you'll have only the channels you want enabled for each tuner.

Thanks for the fast reply but I'm still not 100% clear. My program guide is DirecTV NY and SageTV won't let me choose that one again. I could use SageTV USA but what that does is give me channels my tuners can't access.

Is there a way I can use the same DirecTV NY guide(s) and rename it/them to something like Tuner1 and/or Tuner2?

Again, thanks for your answers.

The physical inputs may be the same for both tuners; set this property for an option to copy the lineup to a separately configurable lineup the next time you choose it during source setup:

epg/force_ask_to_copy_lineup=true
