Need program data in separate file-please help
This sounds simple enough, and after looking through all of these various tools I am sure one will probably work just fine, but I need a little direction and help. I have an external player (roku photobridge) that can be configured to read a text file as long as it has the same filename as the recording name and is located in the same folder. I would like this text file to have very basic program information such as description, etc... I currently have sage 5.02. Does anyone know how I might be able to do this?
Thanks for any help. Darin

I think there's an STV (Greggerm?) that will write .my files for recordings.

That is funny. I just ran accross that as well. Can it be used with Sage 5? Looks like it might do exactly what I need. Thanks.

Should work with 5, there haven't been any drastic changes to break old STVs, the biggest difference is that older ones won't support the new features added.

I also wrote an XML writing plugin, which creates XML files for each recording (and cleans them up when you delete recordings)...

I will take a look at it as well. The Mplay program does not read xml right now just text files. Can the xml files be configured just to have the program data written in text format? Also can it be configured to have the file extension be .txt? I would like to give it a try as well.
