Actisys IR-200L

The version 5 manual mentions the Actisys IR-200L and says it is available in the SageTV store. However, I cannot find it. Is it no longer recommended?

After the Digital switch-over next February I am planning to add either DirecTV or DishNetwork to my SageTV setup.

I would appreciate helpful pointers on how to go about it and which system is more compatible with SageTV.

My SageTV is running on a system called TapeItAll which controls a 4DTV system.

Thank you very much,

If you already have an Actisys IR-200L, then it should continue to work. If you need an IR blaster, then I suggest looking at the USB-UIRT. If the STB supports it, serial or firewire channel changing would be even better.

No, I don't have the unit. I am just studying the SageTV version 5 manual to see how to add DirecTV or DishNetwork. My system has an extra Hauppage 250 tuner which is currently connected to a local antenna. I will not be able to receive the digital signal from the local station because of mountains in between.

Sorry, what is the "STB" you mention above? Would that be the satellite receiver?

Thanks,

Yes -- STB = Set Top Box; the converter box.
