PowerDVD - should I upgrade to version 8
I'm pretty happy overall with PowerDVD 7.3 Ultra. I'm running the latest patched version, and every Disc I have except for one plays perfectly.

Is there any reason I should upgrade to version 8? It seems like the only real change is that I'd loose HD-DVD playback - which is not something I'm OK with. And I would just as soon not have two versions installed at the same time.

BUT if there's a compelling reason to upgrade, I'm not against a "move my HD-DVD to mkv" project.....

8 adds support for DTS-HD Master Audio.

Doesn't version 8 also take away support for hard drive BD rips?

That was removed in the later builds of 7.3.

So besides the better DTS-HD MA - any performance increases? Does it work with YXY still?
