Version 6 to version 5

Without a long story...

I recently updated my sage server but I didn't have v5 installers...so I installed the trial of version 6. I got confused (I got confused thinking I bought version 5 and I could use the licenses on 6 and i acutally bought v4 just before 5 was released.) i entered them in and of course they didn't work.

I've been using v6 for the past week as i thought i would try it out and upgrade if i liked it. I am not really thrilled with so I'd like to stay with 5 for the time being. I uninstalled the trial of 6 and reinstalled v5 with the installers George was able to provide from sage. Now, v5 doesn't ask me to enter the license code for the media center when it boots, but on the TV, it displays "TRIAL" in few places.

I searched the forums but I couldn't find anything.

Does anyone have any advice?

Are you using Placeshifter or a media extender? If so, then try entering the license for that on the server -- see the beginning of Appendix M or N in the SageTV manual.

If you've entered your license(s), then contact support for more help.

yes, i do use (1) media extender and I did enter in the license code for that.
