Must I pay to upgrade?

I have V2.1.10 which works fairly well but has a few bugs. Must I pay for any upgrade, or is there a 'bug fix' update for my particular version?

If I upgrade to the latest version, is there an upgrade price?

Thanks.

I did find an upgrade price for the Media Center, but apparently nothing for the Client (which I believe has been replaced with the Placeshifter). Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Regards.

See the bottom of the download page:

License Notes: SageTV Media Center is a free update if you already own a license for version 5.0 or later. SageTV Media Center version 4.1 or earlier licenses require a version 6 upgrade license.

The SageTV Placeshifter and SageTV Client updates are free. No version 6 upgrade license is required for Client, Placeshifter, or Media Extender licenses. All Linux licenses are also still valid.
And: Placeshifter is a new product, not a replacement for SageTV Client. SageTV Client is still available. This FAQ lists some of the differences between Placeshifter and SageTV Client.

Opus, I think he also wanted to know if he could 'upgrade' to a or any version just prior 5.0 for both the SageTV and SageTV Client. I don't remember reading if prior versions are still available for download, or the support policy on older versions.

Personally, I'd recommend going for the paid upgrade, depending on hardware availability (meeting the current requirements). There are a lot of neat and useful features that have been added since WWII.
