AC3 HELP! PLEASE

I have my sage server working for the most part. I have an HVR-1600 connected to a DB2 for OTA HD. Since I have not purchased any extenders yet I am using my workstation as the client.

When I watch anything that is broadcast via Digital I cannot hear the voices. I have searched and found several things, however none of them have resolved the entire problem.

So I am asking for your help! PLEASE!

Can everyone please post their AC3 settings and Sage settings so I can get this working once and for all?

Since I don't have any extenders yet I don't know if this is only a computer client problem or is this is a server problem.

Make sure that whatever decoder you're using...is set to the proper speaker count. AC3 Filter would be 3/2+SW, PDVD would be 6 Speakers (set through PDVD itself), and NV would be checkboxes for your device and speakers.

Polypro - thank you for your help.

I would suspect I am not the only person having this problem. I just don't understand what everyone else is using if they are not using the built in AC3.
