My issues with sage over the last year...

first off, im very happy with sage in general. actually this is the only software i ever paid for since i owned a pc and that's a very long time lol...

anyways over the past year i noticed couple of things that bug me, so im wondering if anyone can help me out here.

1. i just installed the client on my parents comp in their living room and media center (server) is on my HTPC. but now everytime they watch a show, it marks it also finished on my server. which is quite annoying cuz i have a lot of shows there and dont remember anymore if i watched it or not.
anyway to disconnect the watched icon from client and server. so they dont show up as watched when the other one watches it??

2. my media center has two cards (150 and 150MCE) and usually records without issues on SD. i also added now an USB-UIRT to control my SA3250HD and it's a 50-50 chance the stupid thing will change the channel properly. it either misses a number or sends a number twice and enters 4 numbers in total. then other times it works perfectly fine. quite annoying.
any ideas what to do here. i tried reinstalling the drivers and changing the options how long to wait between sending numbers but nothing helped.

3. goes back to the same tuner cards. 99% of the time everything records fine. then sometimes i get these files recorded which when played in sage are playing at normal speed, but the timeline is moving at 5 times the speed or so. so an hour show finishes in like 5 mins, eventho the file is fully recorded. and the only way to watch the stupid thing is to close sage and play the file in media player classic. and this one is the one that annoys me the most of all my problems.

4. last one is with the divx codec, as of right now i dont have it installed, only xvid. everytime i try installing the stupid thing i get the same thing. the first time sage comes on and i try playing an .avi file, sage minimizes because that divx toolbar thingy comes up and takes over the encoding i guess. i can then reset sage to fullscreen, but i prefer not to do that if possible.
and i tried changing all the options in that stupid tool in the tray, but it always comes back up.

i think that's about it. other then that i'm loving this thing.

btw my computer
HTPC: AMD 64 X3800+ / WinXP SP2 / ATI X1800GTO / HP 150 and 150MCE / Turtle beach 5.1 audio card. / Nvidia Video decoder whatever the latest one was

This one sounds like the infamous Hauppauge 150 Timeline issue. It's not a problem with Sage but plagues almost all 150 cards. There is a registry fix for it from Hauppauge but it might require new drivers. In addition, any recordings that were made before it were fixed will need to have the video reencoded using a tool.

This provides details on the issue and how to fix it: Time Stamp Issue

tnx man,

i'll have a look at the drivers. i tried once updating them and it screwed up everything, so i just reloaded my backup and kept the drivers same since i got the cards. so i'll give it a shot.

anyone else regarding my other issues?? the client/server watched icon is really bugging me.....

Item 2: No. There is no way of separating the watched status from the client(s) that watched it.

Item 4: Follow this link to see how to change a registry setting to fix the divx system tray icon issue. There's also a utility you can download that apparantly does the same thing but I haven't tried it:
