Sage Audio Issues

I recently built myself a new HTPC, and put sage v5 on it. I've used versions 2 and 4 in the past without troubles. Version 5, though, gives me lots of audio sync issues. The audio records fine in about 20% of the recordings, but the rest it's out of sync by .5-5 seconds, just depending on the recording.

I've seen in the forums where people have similar issues using UNC Paths w/ sage server, but I don't have either. The HTPC is on a domain, and the service runs on a domain account (I believe, I can double check) but other than that there's not much in the way of networking going on. The computer records shows to one of its local hard drives, and I play them from there on the same computer. If I open the shows in another player the audio is still out of sync; it's recorded that way, so there's no issue with the decoders.

Any help you could provide is appreciated.

Thanks.

What tuner are you using? Try recording something with the software from the manufacturer to determine whether it is the card or something SageTV is doing with it.

Also, since you said it is a new HTPC, have you checked to see if there are any shared IRQs that the card is using? Perhaps try putting it in a different slot.

It's a Hauppauge PVR250, the same card I used in my previous HTPC. This is the 4th mobo I've had the card in, and I've never had any issues like this before.

If it is just a playback problem and not a problem that is in the actual files, then it could be an "MPEG2 Audio Decoder" issue.

I though lots of my recordings and downloads etc had audio sync issues, then I stopped using the "SageTV MPEG Audio Decoder" with the Nvidia Video decoder and the problem went away.
