EPG data from Nielms webserver

hi,

I'm trying to use Nielm's webserver as a datasource for the MyTV script in XBMC. Coolwave has made a script to use XBMC as a client for SageTV and that works fine - only the functionality of the guide is a bit lacking. Good news is that there is MyTV which is a very nice EPG script and it can be modified to take data from different data sources.

I'm working from this URL:

http://user:pwd@mySageTVserver.tv:80...tartchan=43904

-> channels are easy to find - you just need to look in the source of the webpage - the dropdown box shows how the conversion channel name to id is.

In order to reduce communication between the webserver and the script it would be nice to pass the number of channels to be displayed to 1 channel only. Is there a way to do this in the URL or do I need to dive into cookieprocessing as well?

p.s.: thought I would add it before someone asks - as I'm using XMLTV guide data and I'm still on the old xerces the xml generation through the webserver is broken so that is not an option.

http://user:pwd@mySageTVserver.tv:80...&Channels=4683

(see options->Custom channel grid for the interactive way)

You would be better off using the search function's XML output though -- I reserve the right to change the HTML that generates the channel grid

I don't think anyone here would dispute that - the original XBMC SageTV script is using the search function - only thing is I found:

Find programs occurring: next 24 hours

and I would like to go for a particular day - so not 24 hrs from now, but 24 hrs from 00:00 this morning.

Anyway thanks for: fast and useful answer (my son is looking over my shoulder and I have to include a smiley and that is one from my doughter )

p.s.: It only shows the first 4 hours now - will try search functionality then.

For more than 4 hours, you do need a cookie (grid_num_hours=24)
