Does anyone know the current status of DVB in unRAID
We know that the DVB edition of unRAID is no longer being maintained by linuxserver due to a dispute with Lime Tech.
But there appears to be a new plugin with a support thread here: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/9902...in-dvb-driver/ Is that working properly for devices like the HD-PVR?

I can say that I am on Unraid 6.9 rc2.
I have uninstalled the Linuxserver.io DVB plugin and I have installed the other DVB support from ich777. I currently have Firewire working for two STB's that were working prior to all my issues. I have two STB's that are not yet detected, but I haven't gotten back to fighting with it. I have four HDPVR's that are all detected and working with the Stuckless SageTV Java 8 Docker. I'm not sure how much of this is working because of some remnant of how my old DVB support was removed versus how much is working because of the new DVB support. |

Good to know, thanks Striker. I am trying to figure out if and when to upgrade.

My fallback plan if DVB/HDPVR/FireWire support ever disappears from Unraid, is a full Ubuntu Linux vm. Passthrough the USB and FireWire and run Sage server in there instead of a docker.

In theory these Global Cache GC-100s should be ideal solutions for SageTV. There is a thread on people that have them working using Gentuner in Linux. I have a few of these that I bought to use with my Home Automation system:
