Slow response when setting Manual Recordings

My wife sets her shows from the "Future Airings" area weekly. Since she wants particular times/episodes with padding for many 1/2 hr shows, setting Favorites doesn't meet her needs.

When she marks an Airing to Record, it takes about 5+ seconds before the Manual icon appears. When I do the same on a small test environment it is almost instantaneous. I'm thinking it might be related to the massive size of the "Intelligent Recording" info.

Is there a way currently (or as an enhancement) to clear out the "Intelligent Recording" info?

Or any other thoughts of what might be causing the delay/slowness?
Wiz.bin approx 155MB

I usually see it take several seconds when setting a manual recording as well. I assume it is because the scheduler is forced to run to check for conflicts, pick a tuner, etc.

My guess is that this process would take longer if you have a lot of tuners, a lot of favorites, a lot of channels, a long look-ahead period for scheduling, or some combination of these. Maybe your test environment is fast because it doesn’t have so many variables?

thanks for those thoughts. will compare those variables to see what I can do.
Think I'll also make my test system see the prod directories and copy over the wiz.bin as a test to see if that has an impact.
