skip forward - slow response?

Just a few days ago, i started noticing that when i skip ahead usng the remote while playing back a recording, there is a delay and the spinning circle appears while the skip is occurring. It has been slow to respond to the key-press. I can't attribute the behavior to any changes since nothing has been modified. I even reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows 7 yesterday, installed the SageTV software, and then copied over the Program Files\SageTV directory i was using before the Windows reinstall.

Any idea what could be causing this behavior? I am using a HD200. The videos playback fine.

I seem to be in the same boat as you... I have had a stable system for a good year but the last few days my extenders have started locking up. Random simple commands causing lock up circles.

I made sure I have the latest sage server, latest firmware on the extenders. I updated the java memory size in the registry. I had some plug-ins so I removed all the client properities and just running the bare bones.

It seems to be okay when I dont run comskip but Core Duo 2.93ghz should easily run comskip with comskip set low priority.

Anyone with other suggestions?

resolved

coincidently, a few days after i posted this note, we had a power failure and when the power came back on, all my problems were resolved and the HD200 is back to working normally again.

Try pulling the power cord out and putting it back in. Too bad they didn't
put a power switch on it like the HD100 has.
