MCE remote IR receiver and Harmony One?

I have a MCE remote IR receiver that I have used since Media Center then SageTV long ago. For some reason recently I have been having issues with the skip buttons.

I no longer have the MCE remote but use a Harmony One with the MCE remote command set. I use SageTV on the server PC for my main room and have an HD200 extender for my second room.

So should I use Harmony One default commands from the database for the MCE Remote and then have SageTV learn the commands it is sending for (will this mess up the extender IR command set?)

Skip Forward
Skip Bkwd
Skip Fwd #2
Skip Bkwd #2

Or Set SageTV to use the SageTV Extender remote and then program the Harmony One to the HD200 remote from its database?

I really want to get this skip function working the best I can.

Any recommendations?

I realize the initial question didn't mention this, but if the Harmony might alternate between Sage (for your main room) and the HD200, I advise against attempting to have the Harmony learn MCE codes and then make the HD200 also learn those (non-native MCE) codes. Be aware that any IR codes **learned** by the HD200 are not in effect when the HD200 is running in standalone mode (before it connects to the server). This means that the remote won't be able to control the HD200 to do basic configuration tasks (abort auto-connect, select video modes, enable it to auto-connect to your server, etc. etc).
