Unraid 6.6.0 issues with HD-PVR

I tried installing the Unraid 6.6.0 and my HD-PVRs were not detected with the LibreELEC 6.6.0. I quickly reverted to the 6.5.2 and will wait a bit. If anyone has success with the HD-PVRs, I'd be glad to know it. My HD Homeruns were detected fine.

I wonder if the Digital Devices build would have worked?

Seems to me way back when I started with Unraid and SageTV and my HD-PVRs that was the version I used and somewhere along the update path over the years I started using the LibreELEC version.

Now I am too chicken to try - ha!

I started with Digital Devices as well, but somewhere I switched when LibreELEC seemed to be the preference. Later, I thought I saw that Digital Devices was deprecated on the Unraid forums.

Either way, I haven't used it in a while and I'm not keen on playing around with my ability to watch media at the moment. Thanks!

6.6.0 looks like a major release with lots of changes. Thanks for the update... I'll hold off upgrading until 6.6.1. Typically LibreElec kernel is pretty god about including all the necessary drivers. I wonder if anyone has let them know that HDPVR support appears broken. (HDPVR support is added in the LibreElect kernel, not really anything to do with unRAID)

Just for giggles, I tried Digital Devices 6.6.0 and it too does not detect either of my HD-PVRs. Back to LibreELEC 6.5.3.

Updated to 6.6.1 and SageTV running fine with my HD-PVRs:

Plugins - Update any if needed
Dockers - Check for Updates - update any if needed
Tools - Update Assistant - verify all is fine to proceed

Stopped All Dockers
Stopped VMs

Settings - Dockers - disable
Settings - VMs - disable

Update OS to 6.6.1 from 6.5.3 using Unraid Upgrade Tool
Reboot

Settings - UnRaid DVB Editions - select LibreELEC 6.6.1 - Install
Reboot

Settings - VMs - enable
Settings - Dockers - enable

Test SageTV tuners - HD-PVRs all functioning correctly.

Please note that I do NOT have any other tuners installed except the HD-PVRs so I am uncertain how they may be effected.
However, reverting to 6.5.3 should be relatively easy by choosing it through UnRaid DVB Editions.

If anyone else tries please post your results

Dwight

I updated to 6.6.1 this morning. My 2 HDPVRs appear to have been recognized (with LibreElect 6.6.1 kernel).

I guess I'll see how recordings go

I updated to 6.6.1 as well and both HD PVRs appear alive and well. I also tried the Digital Devices kernel (actually, I wasn't paying attention and accidentally installed it first) and then installed the LibreELEC 6.6.1 kernel. Both appear to work fine.
