unRAID 6.3 is out

It looks like it was released yestereday:

Quote:
This is an extensive unRAID OS security and package update release. In particular, we have made numerous changes to harden the unRAID OS webGui against XSS and CSRF vulnerabilities.

PREVIOUS unRAID OS RELEASES ARE VULNERABLE TO CSRF/XSS ATTACK AND WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND ALL USERS UPGRADE TO THIS RELEASE
Anyone give it a try yet? I am just getting my unRAID up and running so I don't want to take too many risks until I get things stabilized.

I installed it and after a reboot it said my cache drives didn't have a valid filesystem and wouldn't mount, (which meant no dockers or VMs). Luckily after a second reboot it found everything .

I am guessing there was a wee bit of cursing between the first and second reboot.

I had problems with RC9. I am waiting for the next RC before I upgrade again.

Edit: I see that it transitioned to a release. I'll play with this next weekend.

I just upgraded and rebooted. No issues so far other than I guess QEMU deprecated the Q35-2.3 machine profile. Just had to change those VM's to a newer machine profile.

There is also a DVB upgrade out. What is the process to do these upgrades - will I have to upgrade the unRAID OS and then run the DVB upgrade whenever there is an OS upgrade? So I guess I will always have to wait for the DVB upgrade to be out?

Easiest thing to do is actually to ignore the official upgrade, wait for me to do the build and upgrade from the DVB Plugin. But what do I know....

Welcome to SageTV (Not sure people realize, but if usernames mean anything... this is the guy that makes SageTV (and other media engines) on unRAID possible -- or the very least, more usable )

Didn't realise you could do that, thought you had to apply the official build followed by the DVB one.

I'm finding that somewhere after the last few updates the VNC Remote (unriad built in) gets very laggy. It used to be fine. Anyone experience this? Of course, I'll look into it on the Unraid forms vs. here...

Remote Desktop is great, except that I can't use that as directx stuff doesn't work at all - and my VM serves SageTV and Game Emulation (Launchbox -> Steam Link)

I guess the lesson learned from that is that if you are using the DVB build then you may as well ignore the upgrades of the "official" build and just pay attention to the DVB builds since you can't upgrade until they are ready.
