Is there anyway to watch a website live stream?
My daughter is a freshman in college this year and is playing field hockey. They stream their games.
Is there anyway to watch a website live stream through SageTV? We can (and do) watch on our computers, but it would be really nice to be able to watch on the big TV screen.

I have not tried this in V9, so maybe someone can report on whether or not it works (or just try it).

OpenDCT has a stream tuner option. I've never used it though.

Unfortunately OpenDCT won't work that way. It needs to be able to detect a tuner, which wouldn't apply to a website.
Quote from ENE "OpenDCT was not really designed to work with capture devices that it cannot detect.", from post #1460

We were never much for console games so PS3 was the highest we went. Unfortunately the PS3 browser is a piece of ****.
What I ended up doing was buying a $35 Chromecast module, plugged it into the HDMI3 port on the side of the TV, and voila. Able to cast the web streaming game from the computer to the TV.

I forget about Chromecast... that's a slick little device
FWIW, we aren't much of games either, so we wait until the console is out about a year, and get a used one. And, yes, the ps3 was nothing but a glorified netflix box. |
