EPG for WinTV dualHD

I'm about ready to add a WinTV dualHD as a second tuner once it ships. How does EPG handle the sub channels? There are a number of "point" channels in our local lineup.

They are hyphenated. e.g. 8-1, 8-2

WinTV-dualHD Dual Tuner USB local channels missing from Program Guide

I just installed a Hauppauge WinTV-dualHD USB tuner today. It is a second (and third?) tuner on my server. The only odd thing I'm finding is some of the channels don't appear in the Program Guide in SageTV even though they're enabled. I'd like to be able to use these channels as a backup for when SageTV is recording something from the CATV box. Is there a way to enable them? They work fine in the tuner setup.

I've also found something odd here. This stick is acting as 2 tuners in my tuner setup, so I've enabled it as a tuner and tuner 2. I thought this didn't work in SageTV. I'm using SageTV 9.

If channels are enabled in Setup -> Setup Video Sources -> Channel Setup, then they're accessible via the Guide. Bring up the Program Guide, select Options, then Channel Manager to confirm this. Another way to confirm: manually start 2 or 3 simultaneous recordings on different channels.

Dual tuner support for this USB stick was added in Sage v9.1.7. But be prepared to be disappointed with poor reception using the rinky-dink whip antenna; hooking up a roof-top antenna definitely gives much better results.

Not a problem, I'm using a roof antenna with an amplifier. The channels, this is just weird. They DO work. SageTV is aliasing their numbers. That is local channel 8.1 on the antenna is AKA 8 and 1008, which is the channel number that Spectrum's cable system assigned to it. I just caught SageTV recording the antenna channel 8.1 and calling it 1008. It still doesn't show as channel 8.1 in the Program Guide. I disabled the CATV channel 8 just to cut the confusion, at least that's what I thought I did.

Yes, that's by design. If you have multiple sources that have the same channels (same channel ID), but different channel numbers, Sage combines them and only shows one of them in the guide.

Something like that. I found that after deleting the 4-digit ones and enabling the single digit ones, the single digit hyphenated channels fell in with the single digits.

I also had audio issues with my old HD-PVR2 at first. It was creating recordings with no audio, but I think it worked itself out after a few reboots. Both encoders use the same driver.
