Upgraded from like 9.0.8 server to latest - windows clients won't connect..
My hardware clients (HD300 and HD200) both connect/work fine.
My software clients will not work (from either my laptop or a local copy on the HTPC running the Server). Basically it won't connect.. version on my HTPC hangs at the splash screen with 'SageTV Service is Initializing...' for forever... my laptop opens up the full program - but says 'connection to the server is lost -- attempting to reconnect' (or something along those lines). Interesting part of this log seems to be this part - but i have no idea what to do about it: Mon 12/4 20:26:38.023 [main@13c3ba2] Index check time for alt index 15 for SeriesInfo 2 msec Mon 12/4 20:26:38.024 [main@13c3ba2] Cleaning up c/s connection Mon 12/4 20:26:38.024 [main@13c3ba2] Error establishing server connection to 127.0.0.1 of:java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 108 Mon 12/4 20:26:38.024 [main@13c3ba2] NetworkClient fullCleanup null |

The posted log did not have the very beginning where software versions were posted, So I have to ask a stupid question here. Are the software clients the same version as the server? I hear that v9 is more sensitive than V7, and the clients have to be on the same release. It's been a while since I've used the the client software (other than the Android mini-client) so my knowledge ends with asking the question.

I can confirm first hand that if the windows client and the server version do not match then very often the windows client will not connect.

I did have the same version on one client -- the other was also the same, but i tried rolling back to 9.1.5 to see if it worked at all as i saw others on the forum express problems with post 9.1.5 builds.

I may be having a similar issue.
https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65236 If both client and server are running 9.1.5, will the Windows client connect? For me, that's as high as I've been able to go.
