Weather changing locations – all over the US.
When checking the weather on Sage, I usually find some place other than my hometown. This had been going on for some time now, and wondering if it is correlated with the EPG server update? I am currently using Schedules Direct, and wondering if it is using the weather for the last server it queried?
Has anyone run into this before? Any ideas to fix it? (Have already gone into both properties file and placed zip code. Running V9.) Thanks for any insight. -Schumbox |

This was an issue with Gemstone. If you are using this then see the following thread. Otherwise no ideas...

Same issue here. I've set it to the correct location several times but it keeps changing to ones in other parts of the country. I'm in the Tacoma/Seattle area and tonight it was giving me weather for Valleyford, WA, an area on the other side of the state. One time it was some place in Michigan.

Still haven't figured it out myself. It is annoying when seeing weather warnings for an area I don't live in, but makes me feel better when it shows 60 deg temps if it is only 30 here!
Still looking for suggestions |

Mine's generally the opposite..."Holy crap, it's 26 tonight!....Oh wait, no it's 40."

Solved
It took a day that was -21 deg F to get it figured out.... (Actual temps!)
Now Sage reflects it too. It required going into every properties, prewebserver, and autobackup file and searching for epg/zip_code=xxxxx to verify my zip code was listed. Then rebooted - and it still didn't make it warm outside.. but at least I know it is cold. Not sure why changing in sage.properties and sageclient.properties didn't resolve originally. |
