How did you move files to Unraid? Shutdown? Sync? Folder?
Sage docker up and running, so I'm moving it all over the next few days. I can't really run both in parallel as the tuners need to go as well, but I want to be able to quickly switch back if I learn something the hard way to avoid disruption. How did you move all your sage media?
Shutdown and move it all overnight, then move wiz.bin into appdata? Benefit would be to get it all done at once, possibly missing recordings, have to start over if something goes wrong. Sync folders while existing server is running but without docker running? What tool? Would take longer but once completed, it would seem to just be a matter of shutting the old server off and turning on the new one, provided tuners are all functional. Also, how does anyone deal with "sage recorded" movies vs ripped, playon, etc? Dump them all in the same folder and let sage figure it out?

I continue to run both systems in parallel - except for the non-HDHR tuners.
I just used Windows to copy all of my files. It took many days but that was to be expected. I now try to sync up all of the files that I care about every month or so - this way if one system goes down I can switch over to the other and I have everything except the HD-PVR tuners. Recovery times is about 60 seconds as you reboot the extender and point at the other tuner. I let Sage figure out the metadata but I had .properties files as well. But I don't really remember how they are used.

How do you literally switch? Move the latest wizbin onto the backup and plug in hdpvrs?
In my case all 4 tuners are networked, hdhr by design and the r5000 boxes are physically attached to the unraid box passed thru to its VM. The current standalone sage server finds them viewing the settings in sage.prop. I wonder if I could sync the wiz and recordings and flip back and forth between the two with nothing more than a shutdown/startup. I am way over thinking this

Since I had my import folders already ON unRAID all I did was move the currently recorded shows over to an import folder when I switched to unRAID Docker. Then setup recordings folders on unRAID and then copied over the Wiz.Bin and let it update when I booted the docker. I had previously setup the docker to have all tuners defined that I wanted on it and EPG setup before I copied over the Wiz.Bin.
