Some Linux Questions
I've just set up a hper-v ubuntu box and have SageTV running on it thanks to EnterNoEscape and SageWisdom
I see that to do comskip I need to install wine... Then I can add the comskip plugins. but i'd like to be using the donator version, live detection etc. How do I upgrade comskip to the donator version on linux? And I'd like to be able to record to the storage on the host machine (windows10) - Can that be done?

There is a native comskip for Linux (wine not required).
If you look at the docker scripts that setup things like comskip, you might be able to follow what needs to happen. https://github.com/stuckless/sagetv-...pgrade-comskip The comskip binary is also hosted there as well (it's a prebuilt image from comskip sources, which is the same as the donator version, ie, it support h264). The nice thing about using the docker container is that it sets up comskip, gentuner, etc... but even if you are doing it all manually those scripts are a good place to start, since they ensure that a docker container is pretty much ready to roll.

+1 on the docker approach. And FWIW an endorsement for the unRaid approach. I'm marginally Linux literate, but the combination of the unRaid platform and the application library for Sage/OpenDCT is the least hassle path to getting a solid Sage9 running out there.
