Firewire enabled in DVB 6.3.1?

I haven't had a chance to upgrade yet but in the support thread CHBMB stated:

For the V6.3.1 builds I've enabled Firewire support in kernel, dunno if that'll work or not.

I will try to run the upgrades later today but I need a maintenance window from the family. Then I need to figure out how to actually see if I have to do any config to enable firewire.

If you get it installed, and if the drivers are recognized, then the /dev/fw* devices should be present on the unraid host. Once they are shown there, you can check to see if they are being duplicated inside the SageTV Container. If they are, the rest of the configuration, I believe, is from within SageTV.

It appears to work! I do see the dev/fw* in both the unRAID OS and the SageTV docker. And when you setup a new tuner it gives you firwire devices.

I haven't properly configured a tuner yet as I just have to get all of the cables connected correctly and moved from my old PC to my new PC.

But being able to tune multiple HD-PVRs was the last thing keeping me from using unRAID as my primary SageTV server.
