3D Accel Corruption when Enabled

Hi.
I'm new to SageTV and have been looking around for a new front end for my pc. I'm using an ATi Wonder Elite with the Remote Control. I subscribe to analog Adelphia cable. The service sucks but Comcast is taking over shortly so I'm hoping something better will come then. In the meantime, I have a question.

First of all, the system is an AMD 3200+ on an nForce4 motherboard with 1GB of ram. I'm running an nVidia 7600GT with dual DVI outs to two monitors, a primary 1440x900 widescreen and a secondary 1600x1200. I plan on having Sage running full screen on the CRT secondary monitor at 1600x1200. The problem is, when full screen is enabled and 3D ACceleration is turned on, i get the following corruption. A portion of the screen doesn'tseem to refresh and response is exceptionally sluggish.

This is my first TV Tuner but not my first experience with PCs powering theatres. What is going on here and how can I fix it?

Welcome!

It looks like your video card wants both monitors to be at the same resolution. I'd bet that the size of the rectangle in that screen shot is 1440x900. I'm not sure if there is another mode available that would let you run two different resolutions, or if running both at the same resolution is a possibility (might be worth trying just for testing/troubleshooting purposes). I don't run dual monitors, so unfortunately I can't be much more help.

Aloha,
Mike

I have the same problem, primary 800x600 (small touchscreen) and secondary where I am running sage @ 1280x720 and the right and bottom edges would always stay black. I contacted Sage support and they say in the next release they will correct this, until then I am using the same res (1280x720) on both screens, although the icons+text are almost impossible to read on my touchscreen.

Interesting. I'm running Ultramon to manage the dual displays, with different backgrounds and different resolutions. I know it has options for independency of the monitors. i'll have to do some digging.

Thanks for the fast responses.

So there's nothing concrete that can fix this other than turning off the acceleration?

Probably not right now -- it is listed as something the next version can handle.
