Has anyone ever tried using one of these IR receivers with Sage?

I have a couple of these in the closet - one from Microsoft and one from HP I believe. Made for Windows Media Center:

Has anyone used one with Sage for blasting to set top boxes?

I think you might be getting an IR Receiver mixed up with an IR Emitter.

That is an IR Receiver, not a blaster. Won't do anything to control a cable box.

I am pretty sure that those things actually were blasters as well as I used to use them back in my MCE days to change channels on my cable box.

Here is a page with some info, and it mentions SageTV
http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4-22...te_keymap.htma

and here is a page specifically for SageTV (I think it is V6):http://www.lmgestion.net/@en-us/4-22...or_sagetv.htma

edit - Here is a thread from these forums from over a decade ago https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...d.php?p=146080

I have 2 of these that are HP branded but I believe they are the same hardware inside the box as the Microsoft RC6.
I'm using one of these to control my windows 10 sage sever and its blasting to a Dish receiver to change channels.
LM Gestion has a sage plugin that does the blasting and it works good (for me anyway)
