Sagetv bug when using network share

I am using Sagetv v9 via the unRaid docker and like it very much. Previously I ran v9 under native Windows 7. Under both (so it isn't unique to the docker version), I have experienced the following issue/bug. I think the important configuration option is that I have both my recording directory and my converter DVD videos stored on my NAS (Synology). They are both in separate directories and subdirectory structures on the NAS.

When I watch any movie via an active tuner (for example DISH), and then decide I'd like to watch it via my Videos, Sagetv will throw me back into the live version I was watching and delete the converted DVD version I had under my media library under Videos. Now, if I tune to another channel and delete the partial recording of the movie in question from Sagetv, I can then go into Videos and watch it without deleting it or getting kicked back to the live version. If I don't do both steps above I will get kicked back to the live version on DISH.

I know the obvious answer is if it hurts when I do that, then don't do that any more. I would like to be able to switch to my media library and watch a movie without commercials once I see it on live TV first and perhaps even tune to it.
