Sage crash, recording/impored media loss

I'm not really sure what happened, but while I was watching something on an hd300, suddenly it powered off. It turns out that Sage had crashed (see compressed crash log).

After restarting sage, what I quickly discovered is that nearly half of all recordings located on two separate NAS devices had vanished. The properties files remained, but the media disappeared. One of the two NAS devices is used by Sage for both recordings (one of 5 different targets) as well as for media import (completely different shares). The other NAS is used only by Sage for media import (and not for recordings).

Needless to say I'm not terribly thrilled over this. Anyone have any ideas what could have happened?

I don't see how a crash on SageTV would cause recordings to be physically deleted from your NAS. Have you checked the hard drive statatics on the NAS to see if they are failing?

Nothing is showing as wrong on the NAS. It happened on two separate NAS devices at the exact same time. Both are 4 drive RAID5. I can't even imagine what the odds would be for nearly half of (only) the Sage content to be deleted on two completely separate NAS devices at the same time.

Do you have Disk Space Usage Rules set up on your recording directories?

I'm a little late to this one...but if you have the SageTV log files from when they disappeared, that would tell us if SageTV was the one that deleted them or not and why it did if it was SageTV.
