Unhappy Sage dtv loss

I recently let whs do an update. Since then neither of my dtv boxes are giving my hdpvr or component 1600 input signals. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the tuners and checked the ip tuning but all to no avail. Any suggestions where to go from here. My 1600 off antenna is fine and I can use whole house drv from the hr24. But no input even in setup from dtv tuners to sage.

I moved a stb receiver to another tv and satellite output is okay

Any ideas?

Thx

Do the HDPRV's work outside of SageTv getting signals from the boxes? I.e. using Total Home Media Extreme that came with the HDPVR's.

Are you using the simple address to the HDPRVR's or are you using the actual HDPVR ID #'s? I'm suspecting that you are using the simple ID's (the device # on the USB host) and that your system update has caused the HDPVR's to be recognized on the system as a different USB device #.

Long ago I changed to using the unique DEVICE ID instead of the Device # so that any re-installs, or adding/removing USB devices wouldn't matter. Adding/removing USB devices and even some system updates can end up changing which device number the HDPVR shows as on the USB host. The unique id will not change.

I'm sure you started with the STB-Firewire thread even if you're using the HDPVR via USB and FireWire just for channel changing (as I am).
You can find everything you need to switch from the Device # to the Unique ID within that thread. Specifically the link to how Andy set up his SA 4250HD (the link is right there near the top of the 1st message), and also this message were very useful to me in making the change.
