PCM Audio Issue
I've been beating my head against the wall for hours and not making any progress.
The system was working fine, nothing changed that I am aware of, and now my PCM audio for stereo sources isn't working. I can bitstream AC3 for Dolby Digital and DTS without issue. When I try playing an MP3 or an MPEG2 video file I can see FFDShow fire up in the system tray and it says its sending 5.1 PCM audio but nothing comes out of my receiver. If I try playing the same MP3 or MPEG2 file through Graph Studio, i can build a graph that uses FFDShow and the audio comes through fine as PCM 5.1 audio. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I'm baffled. I've reinstalled audio drivers, reinstalled codecs, run an SFC scan all to no avail. Windows 7 64bit Sage TV 7 I'm open to suggestions! -Striker- |

Need to see what filters Sage is building it's graph with. Play one of your symptomatic files, and look in the sagetv_0.txt logfile for the Graph entry that lists the filters in use, and compare it to what was working in Graph Studio. Finding the difference might lead to the culprit.

Thanks Fuzzy!
I spent some time with it, reviewed the logs, and in the end, I had to change my audio renderer to get it to work. What I was seeing in the logs didn't align with graph studio at all, not sure why I don't see the same in both. I'm also fighting an issue with some MP4 files not playing properly. I get a sage playback exception with error code -4,0x80040218 which I believe means that it couldn't find appropriate filters to play the file. Yet if I play the file in WMP it plays without issue. I've also found that if I change Sage to use the Sage Video Player instead of the DirectShow player then the problem video will work, but then other videos become problematic. Not sure if you have any suggestions on that one? I have attached a copy of the relevent section of the log and a screenshot of my graph if that helps. -Striker- Last edited by Striker:WG; 11-12-2016 at 08:47 PM.
