Harmony Home Control Remote

Can someone point me to the key mapping?

I am trying to figure out the Fast Forward & Fast Forward 2 buttons.

Thanks,
John

I'm not at home, so I'm not 100% sure, but I think I just mapped the FF2 to the FF button, and that makes it work the same as the standard remote. Then again, I might have that backwards. I'll try and check tonight.

If you skipping (150 seconds and 30 seconds) its skip forward 1 and skip forward 2. Fast Forward is just that (like VCRs use to fast forward) I hope that is what you are asking about.

That is exactly what I am asking about. I just got the Harmony Companion and used the Harmony software to automatically map the HD300. I can not find the skip buttons on the keypad.

I have the 650 which has separate keys for the skip forward and fast forward on the new remotes I believe a long press is how you get to the skip forward. I actually only use the skip forward myself and have them set at 180 (3mins) and 30 Secs then skip back is 150 sec and 10 secs. This works pretty well for my setup I don't use fast forward at all.

I have this same remote.

Almost every key on the remote has two functions, Press and Press+Hold. These can be programmed from the MyHarmony software on your computer.

I changed the << so that a press acts as SkipBack and press+hold = SkipBack2. Takes some getting used to.

I found how to change the key in the MyHarmony software. It is a lot easier than the old remote I had.

Thanks,
John
