HD300 Firmware Download Site

I am probably overlooking something incredibly obvious, but I've read a bunch of posts about the various ways to load firmware on the HD300 and I can't see how to download the files. I want to use an earlier version, 20110124-2, but when I go to these links:

http://download.sage.tv/firmware/stp300-20110124-2.ver
http://download.sage.tv/firmware/stp300-20110124-2.bin

I just get a blank screen. Have the firmware files been moved to a new location?

I can go to:

http://download.sage.tv/firmware/stp300.bin

and download, but I assume that is only the latest version.

What am I not seeing/doing correctly??

When I clicked on the .bin link you posted, I get the prompt to download the file? Is your browser "protecting" you here? Maybe try another browser.

Thanks, stuckless. Something is crazy here. I get a blank screen with this posted at the top:

and then nothing happens. I turned off AdBlock, but same result. I will now disable everything I can think of. I'm using the Chrome browser. I know it doesn't support something or other related to Java, but it hasn't failed me in any other area.

Edge browser produces same result. Time to look at Norton?

stuckless - which link did you test? The first two I listed fail, the third works. Can you verify that you were successful on either of the first two?

So, more testing shows that link 1:

fails. It just displays information on my screen. Is this correct behavior?

Link 2:

correctly downloads a file.

There .ver will just return data..

I tested the first .bin file and it prompted me to download it. I'm sure the .ver exists so that hd300 can check to see if there is un updated firmware version.. plus it has the md5 checksum in there to validate the .bin is valid

OK, so all appears to be working correctly. My testing on the "ver" link caused me to jump to the conclusion that both links would fail to download. My bad. The link I need does work.
