Comskip Playback plugin not working after update

I updated my v9 Windows client to the 2.1.0.2 version of the Comskip Playback plugin. It installed fine but the client does not appear to be able to see the .edl files on my server now.

The server is running in the unRAID Docker that stuckless put together so I created symbolic links to the network location of the recordings and .edl files on the Windows client and that allowed the client to see (and use) the .edl files with version 2.0.15. This stopped working after updating the plugin.

I uninstalled 2.1.0.2 and manually reinstalled the .stvi for 2.0.15 and that restored the functionality again.

With 2.1.0 you should be able to have the edl files in the same location as the video files. There shouldn't be any need to do any symbolic link magic.

Try copying the edl file for one show to the same location as the video file and see if that works with the 2.10 stvi.

Hmm....doesn't seem to be working for me.

My recording directory is \var\media\tv which is also where the .edl files are.

With 2.1.0.2, I get no Comskip markings (whether or not I have a symbolic link set up on the Windows client on c:\var\media\tv).

Can you try this one which has some more logging in it

Just play a few seconds of a video that has an edl file and post the sagetvclient_0.txt or sagetv_0.txt file from the client.

That doesn't look like it's using the stvi from the zip file

Can you replace the current comskip_playback.stvi on the client with that one, then restart the SageTV client, then do the test and post the log.

thanks,
John

I've setup a docker image and can see it's not working, so will work on getting an update out.

Meanwhile best to use the old stvi

Just uploaded 2.1.1 which is working for me on Linux and Windows servers without any requirement for path mapping or linking.

This did highlight a problem that I will create an issue for.
