Sage Placeshifter on 64 bit Linux
Has anyone gotten Placeshifter working on a 64 bit linux system? I have the server installed and can connect to a HD300 but no luck with Placeshifter. I have 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04. I tried connecting from the build/clientrelease directory and also tried connecting from an installation in my /opt/sageclient directory from the tarball. No luck. In the first case when I try to connect to my Windows server (Windows 7 Sage 9) I get the connection app but "unable to connect to server" message. I'm sure all ports are open as I have connected with Placshifter from a Windows machine. BTW, I don't even get the connection app when trying to start from the tarball installation. Suggestions?

So I guess the answer is "No."

It's being worked on (probably by multiple people, since there are multiple issues). It's not likely to be something that will be complete any time soon

I'm still trying to get Placeshifter to work on my Ubuntu box. I installed 32 bit Ubuntu 14.04 and managed to build Placeshifter. I can connect to Sage V9 server on my Windows 7 box but although I get the STV gui, I can't seem to stream any live TV or play any recorded shows or mkv videos. I tried both transcoding and direct streaming, no luck. What am I missing? BTW I have Java 8 installed on my Ubuntu box and Java 7 on my Windows box if that makes any difference.

Btw, you need to have 3D enabled in the placeshifter settings, and you your graphics card will need to support it as well.
