So I finally got Ubuntu installed and just testing out things and everything works to a point. But has anyone heard or seen the Sage miniclient (PS) missing the last letter of almost every word ? Every other program works and looks fine (firefox,email etc..) But I'm stuck trying to figure this out.

And yes I'm a Linux newbie.

system specs
Ubuntu 7.10
Dell 9300 laptop with ATI X300 driver enabled in the restricted device manger.
Lirc with MCE remote
Java 1.6.0.3

I *think* this a font issue. I don't know if such things are in the server logs, but whatever the default font is, make sure it is on your system. Also, fwiw java 1.6u4 is out on Sun's site.

thanks for the tip Updaing to 1.6.0.4 now.


AS for the fonts, I think your right. Now I just have to figure out what fonts are what. I guess this is a server side that dictates the font used ?

either way I'll shoot an email off to support.
