I think my colossus is dying.
Over the last week I have had issues with the recordings from my Hauppauge Colossus. It started out as an intermittent issue, but now it appears with every recording. What is happening is that the video will shift to the right so to speak, and there will be significant ghosting. (See attached image) the horizontal shift also becomes more pronounced as the the recording progresses.
I have replaced the cabling, the component dongle, and run hwclear, and re installed the most current drivers for the device. I have updated the LAV filters, played the suspect video files on different computers using different software to eliminate a playback issue, and older recordings are fine. The unit has served me well these last few years and am hoping someone else has seen this issue and know of a fix. |

Have you tried using the HDMI instead?

Good call on trying the HDMI input. After tracking down where I placed my HDMI splitter, all seems to be doing well.
