Channel Doesn't Change

I have a dual boot computer with XP and Win7, both 32-bit. I have Hauppage HD-PVR and all of the related drivers and IR software installed on O/S's. Source is DirectTV HR24 STB. The provided IR cable is inserted into the rear of the HD-PVR and the other end is taped to the IR receiver window on the STB. On the XP install, when I use my mouse in the SageTV program guide or use my 44-button Hauppage remote to change channels, I see three light bursts come through the IR blaster, which the STB recognizes and then obligingly changes the channel. No issues. On the Win 7 install, with the exact same software and hardware configuration, when I choose a channel (via either mouse in SageTV or Hauppage remote) it fails to produce the three light bursts, and of course, the STB remains on the channel that it was prior to the attempt to change channels. Sage software shows the channel as having been changed correctly, but the STB program remains unchanged (i.e. channel in Sage and STB do not agree with one another).

Any one have any idea what's going on?

Opted for the nuclear option. Reformatted my HD and reinstalled O/S, drivers and SageTV. Channels now change as they should. Must have been a bug somewhere.
