Clients not showing comskip

I have a newer client to me and I have set the recording directory to \\sageserver\d$\recordings anyway I have my client and my server using this directory. I still do not see comskip showing on my recordings. I confirmed I have the plugins installed. Please let me know if there is some way I can get it working?

Thanks,

Neil

I'm currently searching for this solution myself. New server install 'broke' my client comskip ability.

I remember something about making sure both the client and server have SageTV program installed into the same named folder ie - c:/Program Files or c:/Program Files (x86). Is this required? I'm currently mismatched because the server is 64bit while the client is x86.

An interesting secondary issue when my client was not reading edl,txt files correctly is that navigation in the "recordings" menu slowed down to within unusable speed.

edit: Are you using UNC paths. I remember that was also an issue. I am currently but still no luck.

It does not matter at all where SageTV is installed... The problem is probably related to permissions in accessing the UNC shared folders.

Thanks for clearing that up...

You were right. Had to do with UNC path setup. I have unc created ok but on double checking the client, I used windowsexplorer to navigate to the shared drive and it asked for username/password credentials. I had done this once before but forgot to set the check box to remember me. After checked - all is well. The performance problem was probably caused by trying to access an edl file without proper permissions.

thanks

I have both paths set properly. It was working and then I did my windows updates and it stopped working - go figure.
