Hi; I'm currently running SageTV with a HVR-2250. I control a single Roadrunner STB through fire wire ( unbelievably hard to set up - only one way communication) to record single channels with the 2250. I'm in process of switching over to Verizon Fios. I need some advise on the simplest method to regain the functionality i have now. i don't mind spending a little is the system is easy to maintain. i don't want to use windows media center. I'd like a cable card tuner that i could control (easily) through sageTV ( bidirectional control would be great). Is the HDHR ( with cable card) the weapon of choice? Thanks for your help.
Forgot to add, I'm recording standard definition not HD. |

The two that I have set up and have success with on FIOS are an HD-PVR and USB-UIRT controlling an STB and 2 x Ceton InfinitiTV4 and SageDCT, much more elegant, but harder to setup.
