FIOS
Hey I just did some looking and found that people who are getting Verizon fios are getting the Motorola DTC 64xx boxes for their DVR. That's the same model I get here from COX.
Does anyone have a SageTV setup using Verizon's STB, maybe with firewire? -Polen

I've got FiOS, but currently, only have two of their SD STB's (DTC 2500). I've got S-Video running over to my PVR-500.
Anyway, probably not what you were looking for, but if you get the service, you'll love how clear everything is, not to mention, the internet speed. I heard that Comcast is pushing their 8Mbit service now...yeah, right, I'd like to see that. When I had the 3Mbit service, I barely saw 1Mbit...unless up at 4AM or something.

I wish i could get FIOS!
I'm pretty much in a tiny section of my county that Verizon doesn't service, they serve almost every town around me! Time to move! |

At the time, I did not have an HDTV, so I just requested two SD STB's. I wonder if anyone has been sucessful getting HD content over firewire, from Verizon. I was told that it was all encrypted, but they may not have really known.
I believe that all the channels with the SD STB are all digital. At least, if they aren't, then it would be really hard to tell, since every channel looks clear, much better than when I had analog Comcast.
