Migrating from SMM, can I use My Movies metadata in Gemstone?

Hi All,

I have been using SMM for a couple of years now, and am pretty happy with it, but just wanted to try a fresher interface.

I have all my movies under \\server\movies\moviename\video_ts, and use my movies WHS disc copier combined with collection manager to get the metadata.

I am really happy with the my movies side of things and don't want to use BMT.

I turned phenix fanart off, and set check folders first to yes for all 3 options, and set poster, banner, background to movie, fanart, folder.jpg respectiveley.
This does not work 100%, I always have gaps, repeated front covers and no fanart.

Can anyone help? what am I doing wrong?

I do not know SMM at all... so can you give some examples of the actual fanart files in your folder structure... that may help determine the issue or if we need any updates to the fanart handling inside Gemstone.

Ok, here is an example of file locations:
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds.jpg
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds.properties
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\fanart.jpg
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\folder.jpg
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\7 Seconds.dvdid.xml
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\VIDEO_TS\fanart.jpg
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\VIDEO_TS\folder.jpg
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\VIDEO_TS\movie.jpg
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\VIDEO_TS\movie.nfo
\\server\DVDs\7 Seconds\VIDEO_TS\VOB & IFO files

Not sure why the jpgs are repeated twice.. but it would be good to know where they should be.. then my movies can put them where needed automatically.

I will need to try some examples with the folder settings for DVD's as my guess is that Gemstone is looking in the wrong folder for the images.

If you can open an issue on the issues site describing this item I will make sure we try to get a solution for this issue.
