HDHR-DT Channel Scan Issues

Hello All,

I've recently moved from the US with a 100% happy OTA SageTV setup back to New Zealand.
I purchased a HDHR-DT unit, and it works using their software, but...
SageTV (7.x) sees the two tuners, and adds them, but when it starts a channel scan it appears to try one channel and stops.

I'm finding the install instructions maddening, as Silicon Dust points to a 2007 thread here, which has been updated to say ignore all this, follow the SD instructions.

Any modern/recent guidance would be much appreciated.

So it's now scanning, things I did that had no effect (untill they did)

I ran the HDHomeRun Setup with the SageTV service stopped.
I applied Windows 7 patches.
I rebooted, many times.
I deleted all files in the SageTV directory that were written in 2012
I ran the Setup Wizard.
thus changing my location from US -> NZ, NTCS -> PAL
I restored the deleted files, and manually re-ran setup wizard
I removed all references to all encoder cards from the sage.properties file
I deleted all 2011 & 2012 files and ran wizard
Stop Sage Service, uninstall, reboot, install HDHome Run software, start Sage Service

Then I started getting "error(-12) there was a null object requested to playback"

I stopped the service again and run the "HDHomeRun Setup" clicking on station to show they worked but didn't change anything, press Apply many times for good health (as I had above along the way)

Noticed in the Sage System Info I was running 7.0.23, installed 7.1.9
still error (-12)
Ran HDHomeRun Setup again, applied

Ran Sage and it's now channel scanning
