2nd HD-PVR is Jittery - HELP

I'm at my witts end. I have two DTV STB. Each DTV box is connected to a HDMI-to-Component converter. Then, Component to HD-PVR. Channel changing is done via USB-to-Serial. I've had the first HD-PVR working flawlessly for years. I added the second HD-PVR and it's been a real problem. The second HD-PVR lights up for a few seconds. Then, off-on-off-on. The picture works for a few seconds, then stops, then works, etc (jittery). I have updated the HD-PVR drivers, returned/purchased a new HD-PVR, installed a USB card (via PCIe) and ran the second HD-PVR from the new USB, yet the problem still remains. OS is XP SP3 (yes I know it's old - but it works).

Will someone who has solved this problem in the past, please bail me out! I'm running out of ideas!

Swap video input between working hdpvr and jittery one to verify issue is not with STB.

Have you tried running the jittery hd pvr by itself on the system to verify rather it will function correctly. Once you have the jittery one working properly, then add the working hd pvr.

I operate both my hd pvr from the mainboard usb, pci express usb didn't work for me.
