No need to uninstall the weather backgrounds as they make no system or setting changes...just an unzip of the images. Just turn off the backgrounds in the options and the system will react as if you had not installed the backgrounds.

There's an option? Whatever is the default one, I guess. I can look when I go home after work today.

Just curious.

Thanks, J
Jorton, sorry so long. I missed your question. Using World Weather. It did not improve on reboot. I've disabled it for now, as I want to try loading in my own images when time allows. But I can re enable it if you'd like me to try something.

Thanks!

Bobby

I was using World Weather, too.

I'll give Yahoo Weather a try.

Switching to Yahoo weather didn't fix the problem either. I still never get night backgrounds.

I have always had this issue. I didnt even realize the background was supposed to change based on time of day. Its always showing day time backgrounds. I'm using the default weather provider, "World Weather".

Perhaps someone should enter an issue on the issues site so we don't forget to fix this.

I found the issue and fixed it for the next release. No ETA though.

This issue didn't seem to be fixed in the last Phoenix core update, so I assume the issue must be in Gemstone itself. Are we likely to ever see another update to Gemstone?

I would bet on it....just been busy with other things. But I intend to keep up this project as time permits.

I have logged a few different issues I have with Gemstone which are very minor. I am very thankful for what we have been provided with so far. I realize it's summer and you probably want to spend time with family and friend and don't blame you. Even if no updates are provided for gemstone I still think it is the greatest plugin for sage ever made and thank you for that. I will wait patiently for further updates but if they don't happen, I still thank you for what you have done to enhance sage even after sage has stopped updating the base sagetv 7.19 software. People shouldn't complain about what you don't have and thank these guys for what they have given us.
