Core i3 Upgrade Tips

So my C2D E6600/P5W-DH combo is getting replaced. I started having weird problems like HD-PVRs not working, hard drives not detected, etc... It's either the power supply or motherboard. Not wanting to try to piecemeal a fix, I got a new Asus Z-68 motherboard, a new Seasonic PS, and the 35W Core i3. I run an Nvidia GT430. I notice that the Asus mobo comes with Intel HD2000 graphics, and some software called 'Lucid' that looks like it pairs the onboard graphics with an add in graphics card. They have an i-Mode, and a d-Mode, with d-Mode preferred with an add on GPU. Should I bother with this, or just run the 430? I bitstream to a Denon AVR using ffdshow. Any thoughts?

Since a few decoders support quicksync you don't really need the 430. You can use it if you want as it is more powerful, but you don't really need it.
